The financial and emotional impacts of moving into a nursing home or retirement village were in the spotlight at a forum today.  Expert speakers from the Government as well as local aged care providers were on hand with information on how to prepare for life in the twilight years.  Author Rachel Lane says many retirees wait too long to make plans.

Rachel Lane, Aged Care Author says statistics show that half of women and a third of all men who reach age sixty five will live in permanent residential aged care, but so few people do any planning until that day comes.
